NDSCS Class of 2027

Welcome, Diesel Tech Class of 2027!
There’s nothing quite like the buzz of a new school year, and at the North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS), that energy is in full gear—especially in the Diesel Technology Program. As new students arrive on campus for orientation on Friday, there’s a strong sense of excitement, ambition, and possibility.
Orientation Day: Building a Foundation for Success
Orientation isn’t just about learning where the cafeteria is or how to log in to campus Wi-Fi—it’s about creating connections. From campus tours to department-specific meet-and-greets, students are getting a firsthand look at what life at NDSCS will be like. They’re meeting instructors, connecting with classmates, and gaining insight into what it takes to thrive both in the classroom and the shop.
The Diesel Program, known for its hands-on training, high placement rates, and strong industry partnerships, welcomed its newest cohort with open arms. Instructors shared program expectations, safety guidelines, and exciting opportunities awaiting students, from internships to real-world diagnostic challenges. What they all share is a passion for engines, problem-solving, and getting their hands dirty in a career that keeps America running.
“These students aren’t just learning to fix engines—they’re learning to think critically, work with cutting-edge equipment, and be ready for high-demand careers,” said one faculty member during orientation.
As classes begin, the Diesel bays will soon be alive with the hum of engines, the clang of tools, and the focused effort of students determined to master their craft. The future is bright—and greasy—for this year’s class.
To our new Wildcats: Welcome to NDSCS and the Brandt Family of Dealers. We can’t wait to see where the road takes you!
